Alright here’s the backstory. I have a bride who’s wedding is coming up this April 2021.She LOVES hydrangea and wants it in her bouquet.Let me explain something…PINTEREST IS A LIAR…HydrangeaMUSThave a constant water source otherwise they will shrivel up! Can you imagine many, MANY years from now this client of mine showing her daughter or granddaughter pictures of her wedding day and the bouquet is dead! ME NEITHER! NOT ON MY WATCH! #floristproblems
Okay! So! I’ve already told her this might now work but I’m going to try my darnedest.
Control: HOT DAY in JULY…check!
Stems of Hydrangea…check!
specimen #1- fresh water
specimen #2- water with food
specimen #3- fresh water with bloom submerged for 30 minutes then wrapped overnight in wet paper towels
specimen #4 – water with food bloom submerged for 30 minutes then wrapped overnight in wet paper towels
Remove from water source all at once and see who survives….
Requirements:They will need to look fresh for at least one hour!
